From The AntiKris Image John Osgood
A fellow tumblr posted a blog sort of asking advice about a dude she met, texted, and hasnt heard back from. This compelled me to write to her and share my opinion.
I said that there is nothing wrong with making the first move but since he hasnt responded, she should lose the number. Of course, there is always the possibility that he is one of those douchebags that practice the "3 day rule".
This rule is the most absurd rule in the world of dating. In my opinion it takes all the romance and butterflies away from the fun of meeting someone new. Why is this rule practiced? To appear like you're not too eager?! I am flattered when someone texts or emails right after the date to say they had a nice time. I like attention and I would think others would too, whether that makes them uncool is all up to them.
Frankly, if I meet a guy whom I like, we go out or whatever and I dont hear from him for days, I lose interest. Life is too short to be pining over someone who is too busy worrying about image rather than enjoying him/herself.
Of course there is going too far with the attention thing. There IS a fine line between sweet and psycho. Just stay under that crazy line and all is well.
